BRIO is a Swedish based maker of wooden trains and other toys. BRIO has been in business since the 1800's and they are known for high quality. Like most makers of wooden trains, the track is interchangeable with Thomas, Plan Toy, Melissa and Doug, Imaginarium, Battat, Kidcraft, and other makers of wooden trains. However BRIO track is made of hardwood giving it a significantly longer life span.
The BRIO Metro features a small station, a tunnel, and a unique train that lights up when pushed all on a basic starter oval track. The Depot currently has additional BRIO track available as well.
